- Set up injection moulding jobs with tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with quality and maintenance teams on issues.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and tooling conditions.
- Follow process documentation for production readiness.
- Work with advanced Arburg machines.
Skills
Set up injection moulding jobs: fit and start tools, perform tool changes. Conduct first-off quality checks to confirm components meet specifications. Ensure machines are correctly prepared for production runs. Work with existing setup sheets and follow process documentation.
- Collaborate with quality & maintenance to resolve tooling/machine issues.
- Maintain high standards of machine cleanliness, tooling condition, and safety.
- Follow setup sheets and process documentation for production readiness.
- Work with new Arburg machines up to 200T and high-tech equipment.
- Be part of a technical, supportive team of 7 setter technicians.
- Build specialist knowledge in precision moulding with many material varieties.
- Previous experience as a setter or technician in injection moulding / tool setting.
- Proficient in performing first-off checks and interpreting quality specifications.
- Comfortable performing tool changes, fitting, and starting tools.
- Good knowledge of plastics (varieties, behaviour in moulding).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during evening shifts.
- Reliable and able to follow process documentation.
- Competitive salary £32,000–£36,000 plus one month's bonus.
