Wire Harness Technician

A global leader in defence and security electronics is seeking a Wire Harness Technician who will manufacture high complexity electromechanical products that form part of a marine radar navigation product range.

1. Assembly, test, and rework of electromechanical equipment to a high standard of quality.
2. Work from detailed procedures, drawings, documents, change notes, schematics, oral and written instructions.
3. Work and rework to a high standard of accuracy, consisting of operations such as soldering & unsoldering, wiring & crimping, drilling, filing & cutting, detailed rework of printed circuit assemblies, and application of mastic & adhesives, using a variety of tools and equipment necessary to complete the operations.
4. Check and inspect own work and work of others, including proactive troubleshooting and problem solving.
5. Participate in the creation of SOPs etc.
6. Raise defect reports.
7. View, print and enter data via the company business data management system.

1. At least 2 years' experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
2. Analytical approach to problem solving with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
3. Proven proactive ability, with strong team skills and attention to detail.
