Central Services Team | Manchester Office

Hybrid / Flexible Working | Monthly travel to Liverpool required

Your Role in the Team

This isn’t your average admin role. You’ll be part of the glue that holds things together – a first friendly face people see, an organiser behind the scenes, and part of a team who makes the magic happen!

If you love variety, thrive on being organised, and enjoy getting stuck in to support a busy team, this could be the perfect role for you.

Your Day to Day -

Travel & Diary Support

  1. Booking travel (sometimes international)
  2. Coordinating diaries and setting up meetings
  3. Taking meeting minutes when needed
  4. Keeping signing-in sheets up to date
Reception & Office Vibes

  1. Answering calls and greeting visitors with a smile
  2. Making sure meeting rooms are prepped and presentable
  3. Sorting out catering when required (we do love a good sandwich platter)
  4. Occasional visits to other Walker Sime offices to provide on-site support
Admin & Office Support

  1. Owning the shared admin inbox and responding to queries
  2. General admin tasks – photocopying, filing, formatting docs
  3. Keeping kitchen and stationery supplies stocked
  4. Managing office and cleaning orders
  5. Updating credit card spreadsheets and chasing receipts
  6. Supporting teams and senior leaders with ad hoc requests
  7. Supporting our various service lines with admin/secretarial tasks
  8. Liaising with suppliers (printers, tech, etc.)
  9. Running occasional errands (Post Office run, anyone?)
New Starter & Onboarding Support

  1. Ordering IT and PPE for newbies
  2. Adding new starters to employee benefit systems
  3. Coordinating H&S inductions and onboarding meetings
  4. Supporting training roll-out for new starters
  5. Formatting CVs like a pro
Health, Safety & Wellbeing

  1. Managing maintenance visits (PAT testing, fire safety, etc.)
  2. Keeping noticeboards and H&S info fresh and up to date
  3. Helping with annual policy updates
  4. Supporting internal wellbeing campaigns and events (from step challenges to cake days – we like to keep things balanced!)
