Job summary
A leading Financial Services company in London is seeking a Lead Project Accountant on a contract basis. The successful candidate will support the programme with insights into cost base and manage complex project accounting functions. Expertise in project accounting and financial modelling is essential. This role offers an opportunity for professionals with a background in finance to make impactful decisions within the company.

- Experience as a qualified Accountant in professional services or corporate.
- Highly experienced in project accounting and financial modelling.
- Self-starter with the ability to lead new initiatives.

- Support programme to understand cost base and enable decision-making.
- Provide end-to-end project accounting capability.
- Manage Capex and Non-recurring spend across multiple countries.

Our client, a leading Financial Services company, are recruiting for a Lead Project Accountant to join the team on a contract basis at their offices in London.
- Supporting programme to understand their cost base and enable decision-making through insights
- Provide end-to-end project accounting capability for a complex multi-year programme
- Excellent understanding of programme cost impact to P&L and Balance Sheet
- Managing the Capex and Non-recurring spend across multiple countries
- Expert in Opex, Capex and Non-recurring principles / policy setting
- Expert in qualifying and quantifying Capex and Non-recurring costs
- A finance professional with experience as a qualified Accountant, either in professional services or corporate, highly experienced in project accounting, project partnering, business case and commentary preparation, financial modelling alongside
- Self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team, with the ability to identify and lead on new initiatives
- Previous experience with OneStream and Unit 4 or a similar financial recording system is advantageous
