Job summary
A leading logistics company in Smethwick seeks an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join their high-performing team. You will be responsible for accounting, analysis, and administration, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and supporting the preparation of management accounts. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and the ability to liaise effectively with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for accounting, analysis, and administration of depots.
- Assist with preparation of management information.
- Liaise with departments for accurate cost recording.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
- Provide financial support and analysis.
- Prepare and review management accounts.
- Assist with reporting of Saturn units allocations.
Our Finance Manager is looking for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join their high performing team.
- In this role you will primarily be responsible for the accounting, analysis and administration of our Network of Depots and our Owner Driver Department.
- Assist with the preparation of management information including weekly and monthly accounts.
- Liaise with the relevant departments to ensure that costs are recorded on an accurate and timely basis and any variances to plan are investigated.
- Complete all balance sheet reconciliations in order with the company policy alongside managing the collation of all balance sheets on a monthly basis.
- Provide financial support along with analysis where required for planning and projects. Assist with the preparation and review of presentational information as requested.
- Assist, prepare and review all management accounts ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with the weekly reporting of Saturn units allocations, losses and damages to the business.
- Any other tasks that might reasonably be requested.
