Salary – Competitive dependant on experience

Hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working

Holiday – 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper in our Peterborough office for TC Bulley Davey.

You will be responsible for managing day to day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients as well as reconciliations of the main control accounts, including month end reviews.

• Balancing accounts, reconciliations, reviewing client entries and advising of corrections or efficiency improvements
• Draft and submit CIS returns
• Processing sales and purchase invoices, receipts and payments
• Preparing and filing VAT returns for clients
• Communicating directly with HMRC when necessary, undertaking general administration tasks
• Providing training to clients on various packages and bookkeeping skills as required

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Previous bookkeeping experience, preferably within an accountancy practice
• Ideally AAT qualified but will consider qualified by experience
• Extensive working use of Xero software
• Ability to work both independently, direct liaison with clients, as well as part of a team in both a supporting and supervising capacity
• Positive team player with a “can do” attitude
• Accurate data entry skills with excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with Sage and Quickbooks would be advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passionate about great service in order to provide a high level of client care
