Senior Budget Accountant – Hybrid Contract (Esher)
Job summary
A government body in the Esher area of SW London is seeking an experienced Qualified Accountant for a hybrid contract role lasting 12 weeks, starting approximately 10th November. The role involves providing budget performance oversight, preparing final accounts, and offering financial advice to the Housing, Leisure, and Community Support Services. Candidates must be a Qualified Accountant with substantial experience in complex organizations and a strong knowledge of budgeting processes, financial procedures, and external funding regimes. The compensation is £53.96 per hour, with 36 hours expected each week.
Qualifications
- Significant experience of accounting and budgeting processes.
- Experience in a large complex organisation.
- Knowledge of external funding regimes and partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the budget for Housing, Leisure, and Community Support Services.
- Prepare revenue estimates and budget reports.
- Authorize weekly payment runs and monthly payroll.
