Square Peg Associates is in search of a professional and experienced Bookkeeper to join a customer-focused Accountancy Practice based in Ramsbottom. This role is ideal for a candidate who is adept at processing accounts using cloud-based software such as Xero and Sage, and who thrives on managing client relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Take on the responsibility of managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring all bookkeeping and accounts processing services are delivered effectively.
  • Prepare accounts up to the trial balance stage.
  • Handle the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, and maintain Purchase and Sales Ledgers with accuracy.
Experience Required
  • Solid experience in a Bookkeeping or Accounts Assistant role.
  • Independent worker, capable of operating with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • A positive, can-do attitude, ready to address and resolve challenges.
  • A commitment to excellence, with a willingness to go above and beyond to support client needs.
