Job description
Overview

Rentokil Treasury operations are centrally managed, and the Group Treasury department is responsible for raising all required funding for the group. Group Treasury also manage all of the group bank accounts via notional or ZeroBalance Adjusted pooling structure and are responsible for all interest-bearing and interest-free intercompany loans arising from the pool structure or from the distribution of funds.

The back-office operations team is responsible for ensuring all the above transactions are recorded correctly in the TMS and reported accurately in Business Central and treasury Monthly Management Accounts (MMA), and for ensuring that all hedge documentation is maintained. The back-office team also provides various reports to the Treasury Committee regarding interest cost, cash, debt and counterparties in a monthly treasury pack. In addition, the team is responsible for maintaining all treasury systems and ensuring that there are operating controls in place in these systems to prevent error or fraud.

To complete the Treasury Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls are adhered to the compliance requirements for each control and submitted for approval in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Monthly preparation of Treasury Committee Pack (TBO slides)
  • Play a key role in treasury improvements and automation projects
  • Interest Cost Budgeting and forecasting
  • IAS21 Report and Tax Matching Reports
  • Prepare Central FX Tracker by collating FX information from group entities
  • Assist Treasury Controller in the preparation and improvements of the Interest and net debt notes in the Group Interim and Annual reports
  • Establish and monitor key controls over the accuracy of records, automating processes where possible
  • SOX controls, ensuring compliance and internal control effectiveness of the controls are applied
  • Conduct quarterly Bank User Audit, ensuring access for authorized users only
  • Provide backup for preparation of RI plc and RI 1927 Monthly Management Accounting packs (MMAs)
  • Managing access to bank portals, Treasury Management System (TMS) and dealing platforms
  • Act as an approver of the payments and trades in Kyriba and banking portals
Qualifications
  • Part qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with relevant accounting/treasury experience
  • Experience of preparing statutory and management accounts
  • Strong general IT, spreadsheet and analysis skills
  • Experience of treasury instruments and their accounting rules is desirable but not essential
  • Focused on strong internal controls and operating a rigorous daily and monthly reporting process
  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • The role requires someone who is delivery and deadline focused particularly around key deliverable dates
