Overview

Support Worker - Ty George, Bridgend – Full Time – 39 hours per week. Hourly rate from £12.60 to £12.80 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience.

Priority Childcare provides real support from real people. We are focused on the future, and our small, welcoming homes are staffed by teams of supportive carers who build trusting relationships with children and young people to help them feel safe, secure, and cared for. We care for children and young people who have support needs associated with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and work with them to help them meet their full potential and transition towards independence.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality care to the children and young people we support.
  • Ensure their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment.
  • Be a positive role model.
  • Promote independence by supporting a range of social, school and work-based activities.
  • Work together to tailor support to meet individual needs.
  • Keep accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents as they arise.
  • Undertake general housekeeping duties, including meal preparation.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • A can-do attitude, resilient nature.
  • Previous care experience preferred but not essential.
  • To hold a current valid driving licence; note the service is in a remote location with no nearby public transport and access may require driving down narrow country lanes.

  • Ability to work flexibly.

  • This role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
