  • To assess all bursary applications in a timely manner adhering to agreed funding policy and guidance.

  • Read and understand the funding guidance for all financial support funds available to students, including Care to Learn and Transport for London discounted Oyster cards.
  • Understand financial support options available to students and be able to provide advice to students and staff on entitlements.
  • Assist students making applications for Learner Support Funds, College Fee Remission and other funding, to ensure that eligibility criteria are met and evidence is kept in accordance with audit requirements.
  • Record, monitor and report details of student enquiries, applications and outcomes for financial assistance.
  • To utilise and maintain systems to record, analyse and report on Student Services data, using specialist software programs as required, e.g. pay my student.
  • To update and maintain accurate data records of college bursary spend, ensuring data is collected and recorded in line with data regulations and contractual obligations.
Our ideal candidate
  • Previous experience in an administrative/finance or bursary role, preferably within an education setting.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
