A leading healthcare provider in England is seeking two Specialist Pharmacy Technicians to support medicines management in acute Mental Health wards. The successful candidates will plan and develop services, provide training, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes in mental health settings. At Lakeside Mental Health Unit, the Health Based Place of Safety (HBPOS) has been substantially redesigned and improved. The in-patient wards, Crisis Team, Clozapine Clinic and community-based teams are caring for increasing numbers of Service Users with needs of increasing complexity. We are planning a Mental Health Crisis Assessment Service (MHCAS) and are recruiting two Specialist Pharmacy Technicians to develop high-quality medicines management to benefit Service Users.
The successful candidates will work with pharmacists based at Lakeside Mental Health Unit, the wider pharmacy team and multidisciplinary teams to develop and innovate the role of Pharmacy Technician in acute Mental Health wards and specialist Mental Health services and teams, and to contribute to the wider clinical governance agenda.
