A large, welcoming academy are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to pupils with Special Needs fromJanuary 2026

The Role

The school has a number of roles in EYFS, KS1 & KS2 to support pupils with Special Needs. There are a range of needs across the classes, including children with Autism, non-verbal pupils, complex needs and ADHD. Some pupils will already have support plans in place, others will be joining the school and undergoing assessments. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO at the school, to provide support on a 1 to 1 basis and lead interventions forsmall groups and individuals.

The school are ideally looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant with previous experience, especially in speech and language.

The school are therefore looking for someone to start in September full time. Once appointed, the role will continue on a full-time basis from January 2026 till July 2027

The Academy

This large all-through academy is based in Edgware, with good local transport links and a popular choice for families in the local area. Alongside their main Secondary Academy they have created a smaller self-contained Primary Academy. In this specially designed building pupils have the best of both worlds with a quiet space away from the main academy to grow and develop with facilities specifically designed for younger children, but with the benefits of the resources of the secondary phase. There is a strong leadership team in place within the Primary Academy and staff and pupils enjoy a smaller, community atmosphere.There are good opportunities for professional development across the academy so this is a great option for graduates and those looking to further their career in education.
