Job description

Overview

Electrical Planner — Warton Based. £34.99 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35. 9 Month Contract initially. This opportunity is with one of the UK's leading Defence organisations, based in Warton. 4 days on-site per week.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the development of aircraft programme scope of work, including translating design information (CAD models, BOM, circuit drawings, material and manufacturing process specifications) into processes to support Loom Assembly / End Make data and installation as part of the Manufacturing Engineering process, ensuring the original design intent is met.
• Generate manufacturing build instructions using SAP/CAMS planning tool or equivalent electronic planning aid.
• Support the production of aircraft build, including electrical looms, components, amalgamations, racks and panels, assemblies and installation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to ensure manufacturability and timely delivery within the programme.

Qualifications & Experience

• Typically educated to HNC or have completed a Craft/Technician Apprenticeship in an Electrical Manufacturing role.
• Knowledge of loom manufacture and installation, wire testing (continuity), PLM toolsets (preferably Teamcentre 14), CAD data manipulation (NX / Catia), and wiring diagrams (2D / Wire Data Management System).
• Skills: ability to solve complex problems, balance business and customer requirements, and resolve issues quickly and effectively; schedule adherence; team working; build liaison; ability to synthesise project information for internal and external stakeholders.
