A leading games studio in Greater London is seeking a DevOps engineer to enhance the development and scaling of mobile games. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, along with experience in CI/CD processes, and a passion for gaming. Ever wondered if videogames could be more than just a hobby? You have the chance to help contribute to mobile first games that are played by hundreds of millions of people worldwide, as a DevOps engineer.
You’ll be joining an ambitious games studio which was founded in 2012, and already grown to a size of 130 people. They are going from strength to strength on their mission to create the most successful and popular mobile games in the world. Due to their growth, they are now looking for a DevOps engineer to help them with scaling their applications and infrastructure.
No two days will be the same. You’ll play a part in every stage of the game development process right from conception to deployment. Your responsibilities will include managing and improving CI/CD pipelines, contributing to the development of internal tooling as well as provisioning infrastructure in a production environment and supporting mobile games live after deployment.
All of the cloud infrastructure is hosted on AWS, therefore as a successful candidate you’ll have a solid understanding and proficiency with either AWS or another public cloud provider. Ideally, you’ll also have experience using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for provisioning infrastructure as code, as well as some development experience in any language (Golang, React and Bash are all a plus). Bonus points go to candidates with CI/CD exposure as well as previous experience in a pair-programming environment.
