Job summary

Job description

Overview

An exciting opportunity for a passionate, self-motivated individual with experience in coffee technical engineering. Our roaming Coffee Technician will be an essential support to our 11 stores, helping to keep everything running smoothly and stepping in when things go wrong.

We are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of coffee quality and associated equipment. If you are a motivated problem solver, happy to work under pressure and manage your own time, prioritising what needs to be done in the best interest of the teams that you are supporting, this could be the role for you.

Coffi Lab has grown considerably in our first 4 years and we are looking for someone to join the pack to help with this growth. Supporting our stores and enabling them to continue providing the exceptional Coffi Lab experience for our customers is what we are all about.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out a broad range of repair and preventative maintenance tasks from fault finding to diagnosis, making sure all coffee equipment is in good working order
• Completing QC checks to ensure the coffee being served is to Coffi Lab standards
• Supporting the store teams to ensure that all machines/equipment are maintained correctly - including cleaning and basic maintenance
• Adhering to health and safety and completing all necessary paperwork (e.g. job sheets, supporting documentation etc)
• Assisting the Roastery team as required - including ensuring that retail web orders are fulfilled (picking, packing, posting)

The successful candidate will ideally have a background in electrical mechanics. Training will be provided, but previous experience of maintaining La Marzocco espresso machines would be an advantage.

This role is field based, requiring regular visits to our sites therefore a full, clean driving licence is essential. Due to the nature of the role, there is a need for flexibility when it comes to working hours as equipment issues may need to be addressed out of hours.
