Job description

Job Title: Medical Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist
Band: Band 6
Location: Isleworth, Middlesex
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

Pulse Healthcare is currently seeking a Band 6 Medical Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist with specialised expertise in Medical Rehabilitation to join our team in Isleworth, Middlesex. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for a short term contract.

What will your responsibilities be?

You will work between the general medicine, care of the elderly, frailty, and neurological and orthopaedic outliers. The role will require strong occupational therapy skills across a broad range of specialities, inclusive of care of the elderly, orthopaedics, medical and neurology. The role will require strong discharge planning skills, the ability to work autonomously under pressure, and a sound clinical understanding of falls, cognitive impairment and common pathology as related to frailty syndrome.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  1. Be HCPC registered as an Occupational therapist
  2. Hold a relevant qualification in Occupational therapy
  3. Previous NHS experience within an intermediate care setting
  4. The ability to build good rapport with patients
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills
