Overview

Are you a highly motivated pharmacist with a passion for antimicrobial stewardship and a desire to make a real impact on patient care? We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic pharmacist to join us as the Lead Antimicrobial Pharmacist at Frimley Park Hospital, part of Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the development of a culture that promotes excellence in antimicrobial prescribing and reduces infection risks
  • Leading, planning, and delivering audits on antimicrobial prescribing and compliance with Trust policies
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities through evidence-based antimicrobial use
  • Designing and implementing AMS-related training programmes for pharmacy, medical, and nursing staff
  • Liaising with consultants and multidisciplinary teams across the Trust to promote AMS best practice
  • Contributing to the review and development of Trust-wide antimicrobial guidelines and policies

This is a fantastic opportunity to influence clinical practice and contribute to national AMR goals.

Qualifications & Experience

The post holder must have hospital pharmacy experience involving clinical pharmacy skills as well as teaching skills. The role requires the ability to work effectively as part of a team, through excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate themselves and others. To be successful in this application the post holder must demonstrate confidence as a senior clinical pharmacist and be a role model to more junior staff.
