Full Stack PHP Developer
Job summary
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Developer to join their technology team. This role involves custom WordPress development, backend solutions using PHP and Laravel, and ensuring responsive and cross-browser compatibility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PHP, Laravel, WordPress, and front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. You will predominantly work remotely, traveling to the office in Brighouse once a week. Immediate applications are encouraged for this exciting opportunity.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
- Proven ability to build custom WordPress themes confidently.
- Excellent front-end development skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub for version control.
- Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Ability to manage server environments like cPanel.
- Familiarity with performance optimisation, security best practices, and SEO.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain bespoke WordPress themes and functionalities.
- Develop backend solutions using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
- Implement clean and efficient HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Work with GitHub for collaborative development and code management.
- Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Manage hosting environments and troubleshoot server-related issues.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services to enhance functionality.
- Implement best practices for security, speed, and SEO.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain site stability.

We are looking for a highly motivated Full Stack Developer to join a large manufacturing organisation based near Brighouse, Yorkshire.
You must have experience working in a full stack role using PHP, Laravel and Wordpress.

- Custom WordPress Development - Build and maintain bespoke WordPress themes with a strong understanding of core WordPress functionalities.
- PHP & Laravel - Develop backend solutions and integrations using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
- Front-End Development - Implement clean and efficient HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Version Control - Confidently work with GitHub for collaborative development and code management.
- Responsive & Cross-Browser Compatibility - Ensure websites look and function perfectly across all devices and browsers.
- Server Management - Manage hosting environments like cPanel, troubleshoot server-related issues, and optimise website performance.
- API Integration - Work with RESTful APIs and third-party services to enhance website functionality.
- Security & Performance Optimisation - Implement best practices for security, speed, and SEO.
- Problem-Solving & Debugging - Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently to maintain site stability and quality.
- Strong experience with PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
- Proven ability to build custom WordPress themes and work confidently with WordPress core.
- Excellent front-end development skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Hands‑on experience with GitHub for version control.

- Bonus: Knowledge of WooCommerce and eCommerce integrations.
You will based majority of the time remotely however you must be able to travel to the office in Brighouse around one day per week.
