Job summary

Qualifications
- Significant investment experience in venture capital, ideally following another experience in consulting or technology M&A.

- Fluency in French and excellent English essential, both written and oral.
Responsibilities
- Participating in the sourcing of investment opportunities.
- Conducting investment due diligence, particularly commercial due diligence.
- Building and presenting investment theses to the investment committee.
- Proposing and negotiating investment structuring arrangements with entrepreneurs.
- Monitoring invested companies by representing the fund in their governance bodies.
- Managing portfolio divestment operations.

About our client
We are working with an entrepreneurial VC fund, established over a decade ago with offices in France and Germany. With impressive fund performance and EUR 350m AUM, the fund invests in B2B digital startups based in France, DACH and Benelux.
Typically investing at seed and series A with equity tickets of 1 - 15m, the fund follows companies to series and leads or co-leads rounds. The group invests in sectors such as: application SaaS, climate tech, AI, data, cloud infrastructure, dev ops and cybersecurity. They are looking for a Principal to join the impressive investment team and help drive deployment of the fund.
- Participating in the sourcing of investment opportunities
- Independently conducting investment due diligence, particularly commercial due diligence
- Building and presenting investment theses to the investment committee
- Proposing and negotiating investment structuring arrangements with entrepreneurs
- Ensuring active monitoring of invested companies by representing the fund in their governance bodies, conveying the company's entrepreneurial values and expertise
- Negotiating and managing portfolio divestment operations
- Significant investment experience in venture capital, ideally following another experience in consulting or technology M&A
- Tier 1 academics
- Qualities: Autonomous, team player, shares the values of humility, ambition, commitment
- International team: Fluency in French and excellent English essential, both written and oral
