Laboratory Specialist – Petrochemical Industry

Location: France

Contract Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a Laboratory Specialist to join our team and lead the design, engineering, budgeting, procurement, and commissioning of a fully operational laboratory within a petrochemical facility.

You will play a key role in ensuring the laboratory meets international standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency while coordinating with cross-functional teams across France and Turkey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and layout of the laboratory, ensuring workflow optimization, safety, and compliance (ISO, ASTM, OSHA).
  • Define and validate technical specifications for laboratory instruments (GC, HPLC, IR, UV-Vis, NMR, MS).
  • Oversee capacity planning, cost estimation, and budgeting for lab construction and operations.
  • Manage procurement and vendor coordination for instruments, measurement tools, and consumables.
  • Supervise installation, calibration, and commissioning of lab equipment.
  • Ensure readiness for product certification, environmental monitoring, and process control testing.
  • Manage inventory and logistics of chemicals, reagents, and consumables.
Profile
  • Degree: Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Languages: Excellent English; Turkish is a strong plus.
  • Tools: Expert in Microsoft Office Suite.
