Overview

Hello! We are Volotea, the airline of small and mid-sized cities in Europe.

We are currently looking for a Deputy Country Manager, reporting to the Country Manager France & North Africa and working close to Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), to join our Strategy team.

Based preferably in France, the role requires frequent travel — on a weekly basis — to various airports across France and North Africa as well visiting our HQ in BCN, with the objective of supporting, representing and driving Volotea’s growth in these strategic regions.

How will it be to work with us?

Responsibilities
  • Support and in some cases lead negotiations with airports and tourism authorities, together with the Country Manager, CSO and rest of involved teams.
  • Manage co-marketing agreement negotiations and support initiatives to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation in the assigned markets.
  • Supervise the preparation of press releases and act as spokesperson in communication events when required.
  • Represent Volotea at institutional events within the defined territory.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Support in driving improvements in customer experience at airports through targeted initiatives.
  • Conduct market prospection to identify new airport and business opportunities.
  • Monitor regulatory and operational developments and communicate updates to relevant departments.
  • Follow and analyze regulated airport charges, attending CoCoEco meetings when necessary.

What will make you succeed in this position
  • Degree or master’s in management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, airline, or airport development / country manager roles.
  • Native in French and High level of English (spoken and written). Spanish and Italian are a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-paced environment.
  • Available to travel frequently ( at least twice a week ).
  • Based in France. Ideally in Paris.
