This role is based in our Madrid office. Your role will be to help our merchants integrate PayPal on their e-commerce websites or mobile apps. You will work with new merchants who want to activate PayPal for the first time or existing merchants who want to improve their integration. Meet our team- This role is a backfill of a Solution Engineer role. You will be part of the NEU SEU ICE regions in the Enterprise Solution team. There is one Head of Solution Engineers with whom you will be working, one Head of Integration Engineers, and a Global Manager responsible for the entire region. The team is composed of 17 members, whose experience ranges from junior to senior.**Job Description**:**Your way to impact**As a Solutions Engineer you will play a pivotal role in enabling our growth and innovation agenda - partnering with merchants, partners and technology providers.You will work alongside our Commercial Sales and Business Development teams and provide technical consultancy to enable PayPal’s diverse product set within these environments.As a Solutions Engineer, you will echo the "voice of the customer," providing feedback to Product Managers, Technology, and other internal groups to provide technical solutions and define new function/feature needs.**Your day-to-day**- Consult with our external clients to understand their business priorities, operational challenges, and technical infrastructure and propose technical solutions that solve their needs.- Develop best-in-class solution designs, test cases, and launch plans for opportunities.- Partner with our integration engineering teams and oversee enabling new client integrations.- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including compliance, risk, information security, customer support, and business operations, to ensure all aspects of the launch are effectively managed.- Identify any product/functionality gaps required to deliver a solution and collaborate with internal product and technology teams to define the necessary enhancements to support successful delivery.**What do you need to bring****Job Requirements**:- Prior experience working as a Solutions Engineer, Technical Pre-sales Engineer or Solutions Architect.- Excellent communicator, relationship builder, creative thinker, and experienced in understanding clients' pain points.- Ability to manage multiple projects on parallel timelines and work and collaborate in a global and remote environment.- Experience with web and mobile development technologies (iOS and Android) is required.**Preferred Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
