About the Opportunity

Are you passionate about AI, crypto, and building systems that transform how people invest? Do you want to work across cutting-edge infrastructure while shaping user-facing AI features? If so, this role is for you.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer — AI & Trading Infrastructure to design, build, and scale the backbone of our wealth management and algorithmic trading systems. You’ll work across our stack ( Python, React / TypeScript, Django, AWS, APIs, data pipelines ) and take responsibility for the Iqana AI platform — developing cross-functional features across front-end and back-end, ensuring seamless integration of AI into investor-facing experiences.

What a Typical Week Might Look Like

• Work hand-in-hand with the CTO to architect and scale trading and portfolio infrastructure.
• Ship features that integrate AI into real investment experiences used by clients.
• Build and enhance market data pipelines and optimize system performance.
• Develop intuitive web applications where investors interact with AI-driven insights.
• Work cross-functionally with product and design to create seamless experiences.
• Join weekly product and strategy sessions with the founding team to align tech priorities with business growth.
• Proactively monitor system health, review logs, and improve resilience of trading and advisory operations.
• Test, learn, and iterate features based on market needs and customer feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Web Applications — Build secure, intuitive web apps for portfolio management and AI-powered advisory features.
• Backend APIs — Design and implement scalable APIs connecting AI, trading, and user-facing systems.
• Data Infrastructure — Architect and optimize market data ingestion and ETL pipelines, integrating with multiple crypto exchange APIs and on-chain sources.
• Cloud-Native Systems — Deploy and monitor scalable architectures on AWS (or equivalent) to support high-performance computation and fault-tolerant operations.
• Innovation — Stay ahead of trends in trading infra, AI systems, and crypto technologies, applying them to real-world investor needs.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of software engineering experience; experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
• Strong software engineering skills in Web Applications.
• Experience with data integration and building robust ETL / streaming pipelines.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and cloud-native architecture.
• Hands-on experience with APIs
• Familiarity with DevSecOps best practices, CI / CD, containerization (Docker / Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code.

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial data, trading systems, or quant platforms.
• Familiarity with DeFi protocols, blockchain analytics, or on-chain data.
• Prior experience building backtesting engines or simulation frameworks.

Career Progression

As one of our founding engineers, you will start by owning critical systems and infrastructure design, evolve into Tech Lead for AI & Trading Infrastructure and later into a Head of Engineering as the team grows, and help build and mentor the next generation of engineers that will scale Iqana’s technology.

Compensation

At Iqana, we believe in transparency and competitiveness :

• Base Salary Range : €41,000 - €51,000 gross annual + 10% bonus.
• Equity Package : Meaningful equity package — share the upside as we grow from Pre-Seed to global scale.
• Total Compensation : Competitive and designed to grow as we scale, with compensation reviews twice per year.
