A leading financial institution seeks a Legal Counsel in Boadilla del Monte to provide legal advice within Fixed Income. You'll work on complex transactions, draft documentation, and ensure compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will have 4-8 years in legal advisory with a strong English command.

Formación

• 4-8 years of experience in legal advisory to Capital Markets and/or Treasury matters.
• Degree in Law required; financial or business management background preferred.
• Very high level of English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal advice to Fixed Income Business units.
• Draft and review relevant legal documentation for debt programmes and securitisations.
• Assist with the review and analysis of Volcker requests.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Legal Counsel, you will provide legal advice to the different Fixed Income Business units (including Securitisation products, DCM, HY, distribution of structured notes, etc.) and to the Volcker Team.

We need someone like you to help us in different areas:

1. Legal advice to the DCM Origination business in establishing new debt programmes for third parties and group companies, structuring and placement of standalone issuances (including high yield transactions), and drawdowns under debt programmes, etc., and to the structured notes distribution business. Drafting and reviewing relevant legal documentation, including prospectuses, final terms/notes Ts&Cs, placement and dealer agreements, legal opinions, auditors’ letters, etc.
2. Legal advice to traditional and synthetic securitisations, warehousing, and lending services as structurer/placement agent or lender, as applicable. Drafting and reviewing relevant legal documentation including terms sheets, prospectuses, escrituras, final terms/notes Ts&Cs, subscription agreements, legal opinions, auditors’ letters, etc.
3. Assisting with the review and analysis of Volcker requests.
4. Legal advice on other matters related to Fixed Income affairs requiring Legal team assessment or intervention.

EXPERIENCE

• 4-8 years of experience in legal advisory to Capital Markets and/or Treasury matters.

EDUCATION

Degree in Law. Financial background and/or a degree in Business Management or similar will be a plus.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Very high level of English. Knowledge of other languages will be an asset.
• Specific experience with derivatives and banking and finance transactions will be a plus.
