Site Reliability Engineer (f/m/d)
We are looking for a highly motivated Site Reliability Engineer (f/m/d) who joins our team in the development and maintenance of a next generation cross-platform video conferencing software.

The Company
alfaview gmbh is a part of the alfa group. As a pioneer in the development of GDPR-compliant video conferencing systems, we are continuously working to improve digital communication. Together with our partners EML and Semanux, we are actively contributing to accessible communication and digital sovereignty in Europe. We place great value on working in a future-orientated and cross-departmental manner and achieving goals together in our international team.
Your skills
    You have experience working as an SRE or operations-adjacent role
    You are proficient in a programming language (Java or Python) or scripting language and have experience with infrastructure as code utilities
    You have expertise in configuring and optimizing Linux/Unix systems
    Part of your skillset is a solid understanding of monitoring and alerting systems
  • You have excellent collaboration skills
  • You are familiar with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • You bring along proficiency in using version control systems like Git
  • You have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
    • Successfully completed studies or several years of professional experience
    You are proficient in spoken and written English
Your responsibilities
  • Supporting our operations team in implementing SRE best practices
    • Defining and measuring service level objectives (SLOs)
    Conducting post-incident reviews for continuous improvement
  • Developing and maintaining automation tools for operational efficiency
  • Ensuring data security and compliance with regulations
  • Leading capacity planning efforts to meet growing demands
  • Building and maintaining documentation for system and process transparency
  • Implementing and improving CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery
  • Collaborating with development teams
  • Mentoring and sharing knowledge with team members for skills development
