About the team

As a Senior Technical Program Manager within the Data Platform team, you'll be part of a collaborative group driving Zillow’s next generation of data capabilities. This team plays a critical role in developing and evolving the foundational data infrastructure that powers insights and products across Zillow. You will work closely with data engineering, eventing, and platform teams to ensure seamless data flow, governance, and reliability across our systems, enabling teams across the company to unlock the full potential of our data.

About the role

This is an opportunity to grow your career as a Senior Technical Program Manager while shaping the future of Zillow’s data platform. You will lead complex, cross-organizational initiatives that modernize our data systems and ensure they scale with Zillow’s evolving business. Your work will directly influence how we capture, process, and deliver high‑quality data for use across analytics, ML, and product development.

You Will Get To:
  • Partner with Data Engineering, Eventing, and Product teams to define the roadmap and technical architecture for the next generation of Zillow’s data platform.

  • Drive the end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale programs, from definition to delivery, ensuring clear ownership, alignment, and measurable impact.

  • Launch new customer data products and services, overseeing pilot programs, onboarding internal stakeholders, and ensuring adoption and long‑term success.

  • Collaborate deeply with eventing and data teams to design reliable data ingestion and distribution patterns that support analytics, ML, and product use cases.

  • Define clear goals, milestones, and execution guardrails to ensure project success and accountability.

  • Develop and maintain program management frameworks and templates that bring clarity and consistency to execution across engineering and product.

  • Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and trade‑offs to maintain momentum and quality.

  • Deliver platform solutions that meet the diverse needs of end users, product teams, and internal data consumers.

  • Influence technical and strategic decisions through thoughtful communication and data‑driven insights.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are
  • 8+ years of experience in Consulting, Product Management or Technical Program Management or Product Management leading large‑scale, cross‑functional initiatives in mid‑size or large companies.

  • Proven ability to translate business goals into technical roadmaps, manage competing priorities, and ensure timely delivery.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across engineering and product teams.

  • Demonstrated capability in risk management, strategic planning, and technical problem‑solving.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with an ability to adapt in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

  • Curiosity, accountability, and a collaborative mindset focused on driving impact.

  • Understanding of AWS, Databricks, and data processing tools such as Spark and or GraphQL preferred.
