We are scaling up our platform team and looking for a curious Platform Engineer (m/f/d) to join us early in this exciting journey. Whether you’re growing in a mid-level role or already bringing early senior experience, we encourage you to apply.

Together with your teammates, you’ll work across all areas of a modern, well-architected platform. As an InsurTech scale-up, we balance complex security and compliance requirements with the need for flexibility and delivery velocity — giving you a strong foundation to grow your skills and deepen your craft.

Your role in a team:

• Shape a culture of platform engineering by crafting secure, reliable and highly usable solutions with the needs of product teams in mind.
• Design and deliver core platform capabilities across observability, continuous delivery, infrastructure automation and AI, and help teams adopt them with ease.
• Own operations of platform services to ensure exceptional availability, scalability and performance.
• Promote standardization and modern engineering practices through open collaboration, knowledge sharing and a mentoring mindset.
• Contribute to our platform strategy by making thoughtful decisions, advocating for smart investments and staying curious about what’s next.
• Balance delivery with compliance by embedding security and regulatory requirements into the platform in a way that supports fast-moving teams.

What you need to be successful:

• Relevant work experience, at least 3 years in a platform-related role (infrastructure, SRE, DevOps)
• A structured, self-directed approach to work — you take ownership and deliver with a high sense of responsibility.
• Passion for platform engineering and curiosity about evolving practices and technologies.
• Motivation to explore, learn and apply new tools, methods or ideas to improve outcomes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a collaborative, open mindset.
• Solid analytical thinking and software design skills, with a drive for quality and simplicity.
• Hands-on experience running AWS, Docker and Terraform in production.
• Familiarity with agile ways of working and experience collaborating in dynamic product environments.
• Experience operating modern, distributed systems in production — you’ve handled real-world traffic, not just lab setups.
• Exposure to a broad set of platform technologies, from cloud provisioning and container orchestration to observability and CI/CD.
• Languages: Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Nice to have:

• Experience or interest in running AI workloads.
• Experience working in regulated environments such as FinTech, InsurTech or Health.
• A background in software engineering, even if you’ve since moved toward infrastructure and platforms.
