Responsibilities
As a Treasury Sales Officer, you will deliver integrated treasury solutions to existing and prospective German HQ Large Corporate Clients, including international Cash & Liquidity Management, Transactional FX, Merchant Services, Commercial Card, and Trade Finance.
The role, based in Frankfurt, reports directly to the Managing Director, Head of Large Corporate Sales for Northern Europe, focusing on German and Austrian clients. The team manages approximately 50 clients with 4 TSO’s, 2 Treasury Sales Associates, and 1 Treasury Sales Analyst. The team collaborates closely with Corporate Banking and GPS Product teams.
Key responsibilities include managing and pursuing treasury revenue streams, increasing product penetration, and partnering with stakeholders to identify sales opportunities. This requires product knowledge and relationship management experience to deliver optimal solutions.
Role activities include:
Managing relationships with a portfolio of Large Corporate Clients across Germany
Developing existing client relationships and generating new business opportunities
Conducting client calls, presentations, proposals, and pitches to enhance revenue
Consulting with clients to identify needs and matching Bank resources to develop solutions
Driving revenue and pipeline growth aligned with goals
Leading pricing and negotiation discussions
Planning client engagement to promote revenue, balance sheet growth, and profitability
Partnering with internal teams to develop tailored treasury solutions
Acting as liaison with various internal departments
Understanding client objectives and matching Bank capabilities to develop opportunities
Providing feedback for product development and market insights
Aligning client growth strategies with Corporate Banking colleagues
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Representing the bank at industry and client events
Promoting digital adoption and managing strategic client dialogues
Maintaining industry and client expertise
Contributing to marketing efforts to enhance visibility
Participating in industry events externally
Supporting portfolio strategy and planning
Overseeing sales pipeline and revenue analysis
Preparing briefings for senior management
Managing day-to-day client relationship decisions
Supporting team development, including Treasury Sales Associates and Analysts
What we are looking for
Familiarity with the German financial landscape, GPS knowledge, and European treasury management experience
Strong communication skills in English and German
Experience in treasury management and sales, including cash management, liquidity, trade finance, FX, etc.
Account management and partnership-building skills
Ability to manage priorities and maintain client satisfaction
Risk management skills
International treasury experience and product knowledge
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Knowledge of regulatory environment affecting banking services
