A community support organization in Toronto is seeking a Part-time Front Desk Support Worker to provide reception services and support tenants in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a background in social work or related fields, along with experience in crisis management. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a feminist framework and contribute to the well-being of those in need.
Employment Type: Part-Time, Permanent
Work Hours: 31 hours per week (Friday 11:30pm-10:00am, Saturday 9:30pm-10:00am, Sunday 10:00pm-9:00am)
Salary: $46,756 (prorated) (L5) annually, plus comprehensive benefits

The Part-time Front Desk Support Worker (Weekend) is responsible for welcoming and supportive reception service and works within a collaborative team to create a meaningful and relevant environment for tenants, participants and guests within a feminist framework that includes a skilled response to and knowledge of the dynamics and effects of trauma, mental health and oppression. The position is also responsible for completing administrative duties necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the front desk.
This program provides up to 62 shelter beds for youth (16-24yrs) and adult (25 and older) women, trans and non-binary participants. This program operates as part of a congregate living site which includes 72 units of permanent housing. This shelter is funded by the City of Toronto and adheres to Toronto Shelter Standards.
