A leading educational institution in Canada is seeking two full-time Lecturers in the Department of Earth, Environmental and Geographic Sciences. Successful applicants will focus on teaching and pedagogical research in fire ecology. Candidates should have a PhD in a related field and proven excellence in undergraduate teaching. The positions offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $100,000 per year with a start date of January 1, 2026.
The Irving K. Barber School of Science at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus, invites applications for two Lecturer positions in the Department of Earth, Environmental and Geographic Sciences, at the rank of Lecturer. The positions are full-time 1.0 FTE, 3-year term appointments with an expected start date of January 1, 2026, or a date to be mutually agreed upon. These appointments are limited to three years. The successful applicants will be members of the Department of Earth, Environmental Sciences (Department webpage: https://eesc.ok.ubc.ca/).
The successful applicants will be prepared to teach online and field-based courses, contribute to pedagogical research, and engage with community, government and First Nations stakeholders. Each position is 1.0 FTE for a three-year term, with a start date of January 1, 2026 or mutually agreed date.
