Job summary
A local diner in Southwestern Ontario is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to manage kitchen operations and ensure quality service. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and staff supervision, with a focus on customer satisfaction. This is a permanent position requiring a high school graduation certificate and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Work schedule is 30 hours per week.
Qualifications
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience required.
- Previous experience in a food service environment is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Establish methods to meet work schedules.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff.
- Train staff in job duties and safety procedures.
- Estimate ingredient requirements for meal preparation.
- Hire food service staff.
- Ensure food and service meet quality standards.
- Address customer complaints.
- Maintain records of stock and sales.
- Prepare and submit reports for management.
- Supervise assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
