WHY YOUR ROLE MATTERS 🔍

As the Day Treatment Supervisor, you will lead and support our client’s school-based day treatment program. This is a meaningful leadership role designed for someone passionate about helping children with behavioural challenges thrive.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT 🎯
Program Oversight
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of school-based mental health services in collaboration with schools, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensures that all policies and procedures, funder requirements, program objectives and accreditation/legislative standards are met.
  • Ensure all services align with the Centre’s mission, values, policies, and clinical best practices.
  • Monitor staffing needs and supervise staff assigned to both school-based and camp programs.
Staff Leadership & Support
  • Provide regular clinical and administrative supervision to child and youth workers and other program staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, training coordination, and support staff in professional growth.
  • Participates in staff recruitment and training.
  • Identifies and arranges training opportunities for all assigned staff to upgrade, maintain and/or update their skills.
Health & Safety
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are strictly followed in school settings.
  • Promotes the safe delivery of physical restraints when required by ensuring proper training and regular reviews of incident reports.
  • Oversee proper incident reporting, crisis management, and safety planning, including physical intervention practices where required.
Quality Assurance & Program Evaluation
  • Ensure that the child or youth and parents are involved in evaluating the treatment/service progress.
  • Monitor program outcomes, client feedback, and implement continuous quality improvement practices.
  • Support goal‑oriented treatment planning and track service effectiveness.
Community Engagement
  • Collaborate with schools, parents, and community partners to promote early intervention and mental health education.
  • Represent the Centre in relevant community forums and maintain a positive professional presence.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING 🎓
  • Master’s degree in a counselling related discipline (Master of Education, Master of Social Work, Master of Arts).
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the field of child & youth services.
  • Eligibility for membership in an appropriate professional regulatory body (College of Registered Psychotherapists or College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers).
  • Experience in live in treatment programs is a strong asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and team skills.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills, along with collaborative and proactive problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proven leadership skills, high level of professionalism, and strong organizational skills.
  • Evidence of cultural competence in supervision, teamwork, and leadership ability.
  • Formal training or comprehensive understanding of Lean methodology and/or change management (considered an asset).
  • Computer literacy with all Microsoft Office programs. The ability to work in a MS Teams environment (i.e.: Excel, Word, etc.) is essential.
  • Aptitude for working in a multi-disciplinary setting.
  • Valid driver’s license, adequate insurance, and access to a vehicle required.
  • Bilingual capacity (not required, however, considered an asset).
