AML Data Governance Lead – Compliance & Data Quality
Job summary
A leading bank in the Americas is seeking an experienced professional to join their AML Data team in Toronto. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience with complex data solutions and strong technical skills in SQL and Python. As a key contributor, you will support initiatives that align with data governance standards and enhance data quality. You will also collaborate closely with various stakeholders to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data processes and solutions, fostering a positive, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science, Economics, Finance or any related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in complex data solutions preferably in Financial Institutions.
- Extensive working experience with data including conducting data analysis, proof of concepts and Data Quality issues investigation.
- Strong technical skills including +3 years working experience with SQL and Python.
- Must be curious, pro-active, results oriented, customer focused and attentive to detail.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the overall success of the AML Data team globally ensuring goals, plans, and initiatives are executed.
- Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships.
- Support the operationalization of AML Data and connect initiatives to ensure compliance with standards.
- Manage and contribute to data initiatives activities to completion.
- Design, develop, and champion data improvements.
