Note: Since several work modes are offered (100% remote, Flex, 100% in-office), opportunities are available for residents of Quebec and Ontario unless specified otherwise.
As a Senior Concept Artist at Behaviour, you will collaborate closely with the Art Director to create inspiring visual images that guide art production. You will lead 3D Character Artists and establish a unified vision for the game, with significant experience in conceptualization, design, and illustration across environments, objects, characters, and architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Art Direction team's vision;
- Illustrate concepts and produce reference images;
- Participate in discussions about the game's visual quality;
- Share and improve your work based on feedback;
- Adapt your art production to project needs;
- Create sketches, studies, and character designs;
- Communicate with production artists to meet delivery deadlines;
- Engage in meetings to share ideas, undertake research, and gather reference materials to ensure effective project management and achievement of objectives.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience as a conceptual artist/illustrator;
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop;
- Knowledge of 3D software (e.g., Maya);
- Good understanding of human anatomy;
- Strong skills in conceptual art, perspective, color, light, and atmosphere;
- Ability to quickly convey vision through linear art and color images;
- Solid foundation in traditional arts, including figurative drawing, landscapes, and illustration;
- Ability to work in various styles, including those assigned by others;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- Passion for video games.
En ce rôle, vous devrez :
- Soutenir la vision de la direction artistique;
- Illustrer des concepts et produire des images de référence;
- Participer aux discussions sur la qualité visuelle du jeu;
- Présenter et améliorer votre travail selon les suggestions;
- Adapter votre production artistique selon les besoins du projet;
- Fournir croquis, études, et dessins de personnages et décors.
Qualifications en français :
- 5 années d'expérience pertinente;
- Maitrise d’Adobe Photoshop;
- Connaissance d’un logiciel 3D (ex : Maya) – un atout;
- Bonne connaissance de l’anatomie humaine;
- Compréhension de la perspective, couleur, lumière, atmosphère;
- Capacité à exprimer rapidement une vision en art linéaire et couleurs;
- Bases solides en arts traditionnels, figuratif, environnement, illustration;
- Capacité à travailler dans divers styles;
- Autonomie, communication, esprit de collaboration;
- Passion pour les jeux vidéo;
