Job summary

A data technology firm is seeking a Data Scientist (Azure, Python, and SQL) based in Toronto. The candidate will analyze large data sets to enhance product performance, communicate insights effectively to stakeholders, and manage predictive modeling tasks. The role requires over 4 years of relevant experience, as well as proficiency in Azure, Python, and SQL. This is a fully remote position offered on a 1-year contract basis with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as a Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer or a similar position.
• Extensive experience with Azure.
• Expert level in Python and SQL querying skills.
• Experience with training and maintaining ML models.

Responsibilities

• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences.
• Work with the Product Manager to prototype new ideas and models.
• Utilize appropriate cloud resources to automate data science processes.
• Develop processes to improve data cleanliness and usability.
• Monitor Machine Learning model performance and accuracy.
