Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works closely with a broad range of leaders (in both seniority and function) across the organization to analyze and understand internal & external needs.
  • Establishes and executes product ownership strategy as it relates to data related products
  • Technical SME for analytics methodology design and implementation.
  • Engages BI and Reporting technical teams to develop new (or improve existing) innovative reporting methodologies and measurement systems.
  • Establishes and implements product ownership strategy to create internal & external client-centric analytics & reporting, both proactively and by request. Leads ongoing process to ensure that business needs are met.
  • Advanced communication and presentation skillset to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and data exploration utilizing advanced techniques to provide strategic level insight and understanding of business performance at either enterprise or department level
  • Conduct analysis with limited or incomplete data, providing recommendations and strategies on how these gaps can be addressed both proactively and on request
  • Understanding the business priorities and underlying data to ensure they can conduct analysis with limited or incomplete business requirements both proactively and on request
  • The Manager, Strategic Insights & Special Projects will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time and including possible travel (5%).
Experience and Educational Requirements
  • Requires broad training in fields such as business / healthcare administration, sales, market research, pharmaceutical, financial / data analysis and reporting or similar vocations obtained through completion of a four year bachelor’s degree program; normally requires a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience with prior customer management experience, preferably analytic or reporting experience either as a provider or consumer.
  • Bachelor degree or above qualification preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science or Data Science.
  • Minimum 7 years of directly related experience in Client or Business Analytics position(s).
  • Proven experience working with MS Office, SQL, Business Objects, Power BI
  • Proven knowledge of and experience with working with patient-centric healthcare data.
  • Proven experience presenting complex ideas in a manner impactful to senior business leaders.
  • Experience with specialty and/or orphan drug pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with IT project management would be an asset.
  • Experience with problem, Change and Incident Management practices (ITIL).
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of patient support services and specialty pharmaceutical sales and marketing business disciplines.
  • Outstanding ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; ability to communicate with customers, associates, management and senior leaders; solid teamwork and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively across functional groups.
  • Strong business planning, analytical, and conceptual skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SQL and Power BI.
  • Excellent ability to gather and analyze report requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Effective organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • Strong Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Works well cross-functionally and within a small team.
