The De Beers Group of Companies has an opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated individual to join the Supply Chain department at the Gahcho Kué Mine site based in the Northwest Territories. Reporting to the Supply Chain Supervisor, this senior position is responsible for leading and executing safe, efficient, and effective warehouse and logistics operations, including material handling, inventory management, SAP system leadership, aerodrome support, and transportation coordination. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

• Material Handling & Inventory Management
• Receive, verify, and unload incoming materials using SAP.
• Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc inventory cycle counts; report inventory levels and discrepancies.
• Organize materials for safe, efficient access and optimal use of storage space.
• Evaluate the quality of incoming materials and complete required documentation.
• Process SAP reservations and issue materials to end users.
• Logistics & Transportation
• Coordinate and deliver requested materials to site departments and contractors via air and seasonal ground transport.
• Prepare and package materials for shipment or backhaul.
• Serve as a lead SAP user; generate reports and support data integrity.
• Facilitate training sessions to build SAP competency across the team.
• Aerodrome Operations
• Support aircraft operations including de-icing, refueling, baggage handling, marshalling, and freight handling.
• Equipment Operation
• Safely operate a variety of equipment including forklifts, telehandlers, trucks, loaders, and aircraft support vehicles.
• Safety & Compliance
• Maintain a clean, organized (5S), and hazard-free warehouse and laydown area.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Actively participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

This is a site-based position with a 14 days in/14 days out rotation and is a two-year long-term contract position.

• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in warehouse and logistics operations, preferably in the mining industry.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP and inventory management systems.
• Experience with passenger & cargo air transport including aircraft refueling & de-icing.
• Certification and experience operating heavy equipment (forklifts, telehandlers, loaders, trucks).
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and material handling procedures.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a site license.
• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs and work in a remote, fly-in fly-out environment on a rotational schedule.
• Legally permitted to work in Canada.
• Supply Chain Logistics Professional Designation (CITT) or APICS Certification desirable.
• Experience utilizing barcode technology and Zebra scanning systems.
• Transport of Dangerous Goods Certification for ground (TDG) and air (IATA) freight.
• Red Seal Certified Warehouse Technician.
• Experience working at a remote mining site.
• Additional certifications such as Fall Protection, Loader, and Forklift.

• Preference will be given to Members of the Deninu Kué, Lutsel K’e Dene First Nation, North Slave Métis Alliance, Northwest Territory Métis Nation, Tlicho Government, or Yellowknives Dene First Nation, followed by non-indigenous residents of the Northwest Territories.
