The Retail Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations and profitability of the establishment according to set goals and business objectives. Daily operations include staff management, customer satisfaction, neat product presentation, inventory management, and carrying out seasonal changes and promotional activities.

Job Duties

• Greet and assist customers professionally, setting an example for staff.
• Address and resolve customer complaints positively and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
• Maintain adequate stock levels through efficient inventory management.
• Conduct scheduled inventory counts and provide reports.
• Increase sales, expand markets, and promote the business within guidelines.
• Verify invoices against packaging slips and track expenditures.
• Ensure merchandise is neatly presented and correctly priced.
• Make informed purchasing decisions with volume discounts.
• Provide management with sales, staff, and productivity reports.
• Hold staff accountable for cash handling discrepancies.
• Balance sales, print receipts, and track revenue daily.
• Make daily bank deposits and reconcile bank statements.
• Coordinate the ordering and receiving of cannabis and accessories.
• Supervise staff and coordinate work schedules for productive operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid SellSafe Certification
• High school diploma and post-secondary or technical training
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience in retail
• Minimum 3 years in a managerial role
• Excellent customer service skills
• Management experience preferred
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to train and motivate staff
• Performance monitoring skills
• Basic office administration skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Effective teamwork and communication skills
• Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
• Culturally sensitive and diplomatic
• Organizational and planning skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends
