Job summary
A leading engineering services provider is seeking a Power Engineer to operate equipment in Fort Saskatchewan. The role involves ensuring compliance, troubleshooting issues, and conducting regular performance checks. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience and a Fourth Class Power Engineering ticket. The position requires the ability to work day and night shifts, perform heavy lifting, and operate in various environments, including indoors and confined spaces.
Qualifications
- 5 years of working experience as a Power Engineer.
- Ability to interpret Alberta Safety Code Regulation, which includes ASME Codes and others.
- Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Intervene directly with the shift organization on any compliance issues.
- Utilize specialized knowledge to devise new methods for resolution.
- Complete regular field checks to monitor plant performance.
- Troubleshoot and identify equipment issues in the operating unit.
- Complete equipment start-up and shutdown activities.
