Job Summary
The accounts payable/payroll administrator is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and payroll.
Knowledge and Skills (Education)
- At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable/Finance
- Minimum college diploma in Accounting/Business
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with integrated finance software packages
- Well-organized with past experience in handling payroll/finance responsibilities
- ADP experience
- Contact with Canadian Payroll Association
- Strong data entry skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Major Accountabilities
- Adhere to health & safety regulations, company rules, policies, and procedures
- Use or wear equipment, protective devices, or clothing as required by the company
- Match invoices to packing slips and verify invoice prices against purchase orders
- Resolve disputed items and contact suppliers regarding missing invoices
- Enter invoices into CMS, matching items to receivers
- Process payments according to terms and maintain all related documents
- Review and approve timecards/sheets, enter data into payroll software daily, and record manual adjustments
- Provide reports analyzing hours and costs
- Manage attendance records, payroll changes, and reconcile tax and benefit payments
- Coordinate with purchasing on accounts payable discrepancies
- Submit payroll bi-weekly and review payroll registers for accuracy
- File and maintain all records
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Controller

- Primarily office environment with minimal plant floor activities (PPE required)
