A competitive intelligence startup in Vancouver is seeking a Financial Analyst to manage accounts payable and keep operating expense forecasts precise. This role involves significant learning and impact as you help shape the finance function within a dynamic startup environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, eager to learn, and possesses strong financial modeling skills. This position offers opportunities for growth into FP&A management, all while driving strategic insights and financial performance across the organization.
The Financial Analyst plays a key role in keeping our Finance Department, and thus Klue, running smoothly. Our goal is to translate complex financial data into a clear story, providing the timely insights that guide our long‑term strategy and optimize day‑to‑day performance. We do this by ensuring we have the right tools that enable our small‑but‑mighty team to get the job done. This role helps make that happen.
You’ll work closely with the Controller and Senior Accountant to support the day‑to‑day operations that keep our team effective, from owning the accounts payable function to forecasting operating expenses. You’ll also get hands‑on exposure to the projects and programs that shape our multi‑product future.
This is a role for someone who’s eager to learn, proactive, and willing to jump out of your lane. If you are looking to just build Excel models, then stop reading here. We are a startup, and stepping outside of your lane is common and expected. To start, you’ll balance execution with learning, building a solid foundation in the expense side of the finance function. From there you will move into the revenue and SaaS metrics side.
This role is both a learning opportunity and a chance to make an impact. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across finance, build confidence in understanding the flow of money through a SaaS company, and help shape our exciting future as we look to leverage our positive momentum within the market.
