This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance.

Department Overview

TD Securities (TDS) Finance is responsible for developing and delivering financial strategy, information, and management support on a segment-wide basis for TDS, consistent with TD's enterprise risk appetite. This includes providing a wide range of analysis and decision support relating to the informational needs of the TDS business leaders and senior finance management.

The TDS Finance team plays an important strategic role for TDS, ensuring that the right metrics are developed and communicated to the businesses amid continuously evolving market environment and regulatory requirements.

Senior Group Manager, Finance, Strategic Analysis and Support

The Senior Group Manager, Finance, Strategic Analysis and Support - TD Securities reports to the Vice President, TDS Finance and works with a talented and diverse team of professionals to provide insightful analysis and advice, management reporting and recommendations for all lines of business within TDS.

The role requires a skillset that can manage key reporting, forecasting, and planning processes while also focusing on details in a high‑pressure environment. Critical to the role is also having the ability to step back and take a leadership role in providing proactive analysis, advice, and insight on a range of business and financial issues impacting TD Securities Finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the Finance team that provides consolidated financial reporting and advice to both TDS leadership teams, including Monthly Operating Results, Forecasting/ Planning, Strategic review and numerous ad‑hoc presentations in relation to TDS' strategy
  • Liaise with key internal partners such as Enterprise Strategy and Decision Support, Investor Relations, Finance Operations, Legal, Corporate Communications and other corporate functions to ensure consistent messaging and data flow
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with key business, finance and other stakeholders and effectively communicate relevant, meaningful recommendations to senior management
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment that requires meticulous attention to detail
  • Proven track record of implementing value‑added process improvements to increase shareholder value

Job Requirements

This position requires excellent management skills in finance and reporting, strong business acumen and a willingness to embrace and lead change. The successful candidate must be an individual who is able to work with minimal supervision, contribute to positive work, colleagues and team experience and manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • Position requires a keen interest in capital markets and a strong understanding of TDS financial products and structures
  • Position requires strong analytical, financial modelling skills to provide high level financial analysis and value‑added insight to the business and global capital markets
  • CPA/CA/CFA designation would be an asset
  • Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities - ability to consolidate a large amount of information into clear, concise analysis to support and drive critical business decisions
  • Work effectively with senior executives
  • Highly motivated, proactive self‑starter with strong time management aptitude, analytical skills, and the ability to be flexible among competing priorities and timelines
  • Strong organizational awareness and the ability to balance the viewpoints of Finance and the Business Bank
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to build strong business relationships with stakeholders across various functions
  • Superior ability to influence and motivate others, including those who do not have a direct reporting relationship
  • Ability to negotiate, solve problems and make decisions
Work Activities

Work activities include a blend of highly collaborative activities and individual deliverables. Individuals are expected to be onsite 4 days a week. Colleagues may spend more or less days in office as required by the business line.
