The Integrative Viromics Lab, led by Dr. Ann C. Gregory, Canada Research Chair in Viromics & One Health, investigates the role of viruses—especially bacteriophages—in human and environmental microbiomes. The work explores phage–host interactions and their implications for human health, disease prevention, and environmental sustainability, integrating microbiology, virology, and genomics.
The laboratory technician will join the Integrative Viromics Lab, focusing on isolating, propagating, and characterizing bacteriophages and studying phage–host interactions under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. The role includes working with environmental and clinical samples, supporting ongoing virome and microbiome projects, maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory, mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, and opportunities to co-author publications and present findings.
