Summit Search Group has proudly partnered with our client, a dedicated Accounting Firm on the search a Senior Accounting Manager to join their firm. They are a long standing mid sized Financial Firm in Winnipeg, who work with a lot of non-profits and small businesses.

Position Overview:

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to oversee their financial reporting and tax compliance functions. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial statements, manage tax planning and filings, and maintain adherence to accounting standards and tax regulations. This role involves coordinating audits, implementing internal controls, and providing strategic financial and tax insights to support informed decision-making. The Senior Accounting Manager will lead the accounting team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all financial and tax-related operations.

• Review of year-end Financial Statements, Corporation Income Tax
• Returns, and Instruction Letters,
• Review of the Personal Income Tax Returns and supporting documentation,
• Review of the Trust income tax returns and supporting documentation,
• Review of client’s GST and PST returns
• Review of T4/T5 Returns
• Providing direction and assistance for staff assigned to the engagements
• Review of client’s payroll
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Interested candidates must be a designated CPA, with previous Public
• Practice Supervisory Experience
• Proficient with CaseWare, Profile and QuickBooks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to accurately deliver in a fast-paced environment
