Who are we?

Bronswerk Marine is a global leader of complete marine heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems providing turnkey solutions for commercial and military vessels through its 12 offices worldwide. Bronswerk manages the entire process of the system life cycle; from design to commissioning, installation and in-service support.

What will be your role?

Reporting to ISS Director, the Spare Parts & Warranty Technician will work with the In-Service-Support Team in supporting our customers with Spare Parts requests. In the role of warranty technician, you will resolve issues with products under warranty by performing diagnostics, failure analysis, and coordinate the replacement of the defective parts.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sourcing and coordinating sales of spare parts for all Bronswerk Marine & Offshore projects.
  • Provide customer service to meet their spare parts needs, in accordance with BMI’s parts protocols and processes.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical engineering drawings.
  • Research and identify alternative spare parts, if spare parts are obsolete, to match and fit and meeting client specification requirements.
  • Review and manage all incoming warranty claims following Bronswerk Warranty Claim Procedures.
  • Ensures that drawings are current (modified where needed by Engineering staff).
  • Build relationships with customers by providing helpful and friendly service.
  • Communicates with vendors documentation requirements and assembles packages as per customer needs.
  • Ensures supporting documents for invoicing is provided to the Finance Department to maximize positive cash flow
  • Lead effort to ensure equipment documentation is up to date.
  • Provide shop and subcontractor support including, but not limited to:
  • Issuing purchase orders for spare parts;
  • Document verifications;
  • Ensure quality documentation is carried out and documented;
  • Interacting with Client staff as required, to achieve material acceptance;
Which candidate profile are we looking for?
  • 5- 7 years of experience in a manufacturing or repair environment
  • Mechanical Engineering Technical Diploma (College Degree) or equivalent work experience
  • Overhaul/repair shop experience (an asset)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships
  • Exposure to project, cost and schedule management is a plus
  • Possess excellent judgement and professional maturity
  • Knowledge of Military Standards, an asset
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and solid mechanical assembly know-how
  • Bilingual French and English: frequent communications with other North American offices and interactions with clients and suppliers based in North America and Europe.
  • Ability to gain a Canadian security clearance (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident) and controlled goods is required.

Responsabilités:

  • Responsable de l’approvisionnement et de la coordination des ventes de pièces de rechange pour tous les projets Bronswerk Marine & Offshore.
  • Fournir un service à la clientèle pour répondre à leurs besoins en pièces de rechange, conformément aux protocoles et processus de pièces de Bronswerk.
  • Capacité à lire et à comprendre des dessins de génie mécanique et électrique.
  • Rechercher et identifier d’autres pièces de rechange qui sont obsolètes afin de correspondre aux exigences des spécifications du client.
  • Examinez et gérez toutes les réclamations de garantie entrantes en suivant les procédures de réclamation de garantie de Bronswerk.
  • S’assurer que les dessins sont à jour (modifiés au besoin par le personnel de l’ingénierie).
  • Établissez des relations avec les clients en fournissant un service utile et amical.
  • Communiquer avec les fournisseurs en matière de documentation et assembler les colis selon les besoins du client.
  • S’assurer que les documents à l’appui de la facturation sont fournis au service des finances afin de maximiser les flux de trésorerie positifs.
  • Diriger les efforts pour s’assurer que la documentation sur l’équipement est à jour.
  • Fournir un soutien à l’atelier et aux sous-traitants, y compris, mais sans s’y limiter :
  • Émettre des bons de commande pour les pièces de rechange;
  • Vérification de documents;
  • S’assurer que la documentation de qualité est effectuée et documentée;
  • Interagir avec le personnel du client au besoin, afin d’obtenir l’acceptation du matériel;
Quel profil de candidat recherchons-nous?
  • 5 à 7 ans d’expérience dans un environnement de fabrication ou de réparation
  • Diplôme collégial en génie mécanique
  • Expérience en révision/atelier de réparation (un atout)
  • Capacité démontrée à travailler de manière autonome et à gérer plusieurs tâches
  • Solides compétences en communication interpersonnelle et écrite/verbale avec la capacité d’établir des relations de travail efficaces
  • L’exposition à la gestion des projets, des coûts et des échéanciers est un plus
  • Posséder un excellent jugement et une maturité professionnelle
  • Connaissance des normes militaires, un atout
  • Excellentes compétences en résolution de problèmes et solide savoir-faire en assemblage mécanique
  • Bilingue français et anglais : communications fréquentes avec d’autres bureaux nord-américains et interactions avec des clients et des fournisseurs basés en Amérique du Nord et en Europe.
  • Capacité d’obtenir une cote de sécurité canadienne (citoyen canadien ou résident permanent) et des marchandises contrôlées est requise.
