Job summary
A leading financial group is seeking a skilled Translator for a fully remote 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating and proofreading texts while ensuring effective communication between languages. Candidates should be bilingual in French and English, with a strong understanding of translation principles and practices.
Qualifications
- Translation experience or a BA in translation required.
- Experience with translation memory software desired.
- Bilinguality in French and English is essential.

Our client, a top 5 bank, is looking for a Translator for a 6-month contract located in Toronto. This role is fully remote.
As a Translator - Senior your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Listen to, understand, and translate spoken or written statements from one language to another.
- Facilitate effective communication by converting one spoken/written language to another.
- Relay concepts and ideas between languages.
- Edit and proofread text to accurately reflect language.
- Adapt a product or service for use in a different language and culture.
- Translation experience or a BA in translation
- Experience with translation memory software
- French/English bilingual databases
- BA in translation on top of experience
