Must Haves :
- 7+ years' experience directing project teams to ensure project deliverables are delivered on time and adhere to government and ministry standards
- 7+ years' experience managing and coordinating project monitoring, anticipating and troubleshooting issues, providing ongoing expertise, resolving problems, and ensuring project effectiveness
Description
This procurement will establish and execute the foundational components of the patient access identity service, including a multi-year project plan.
The provincial government aims to create a modern, connected, and sustainable healthcare system centered on the patient. Ontario Health is tasked with collaborating with the Ministry to implement the digital-first health strategy, enhancing the health system's digital integration and experience for patients. Ontario Health also supports the Ontario Government's Ontario Onwards Action Plan to foster a modern, efficient, and customer-focused government and agencies.
Must Haves :
- Strong knowledge of the full Project Management LifeCycle (PMLC), PMBOK, with some exposure to SDLC
- Experience leading project teams to meet project timelines and standards
- Understanding of Information Management principles, policies, and practices
- Experience in project monitoring, troubleshooting, providing expertise, and enhancing project effectiveness
- Ability to identify and resolve conflicts between project and functional areas
- Experience managing client relationships and expectations, providing updates, and resolving conflicts
- Experience managing diverse delivery teams including staff, consultants, and vendors
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Project Server
- Knowledge of finance and project cost management, including budget oversight
Responsibilities :
- Manage large, complex, high-profile, and risky projects
- Ensure project deliverables meet business needs on time, within scope, and budget, complying with methodologies
- Develop detailed project schedules and requirements
- Monitor and forecast project costs, providing reports to stakeholders
- Develop and oversee project scope, schedules, and deliverables
- Promote adherence to project management best practices
- Coordinate and monitor project processes, develop guidelines and procedures
- Manage project budgets with fiscal control and accountability
- Identify risks proactively and develop mitigation strategies
- Communicate issues and risks to senior executives, recommending solutions
- Participate in steering committees and stakeholder forums
- Provide comprehensive project reporting to senior stakeholders
- Manage change resistance and support project phases from conception to close-out

Required Experience / Evaluation Criteria :
1) Large-scale, complex project management experience: 25 Points
2) Team coordination and issue resolution experience: 25 Points

4) Familiarity with reporting tools including MS Office and MS Project: 15 Points
5) Experience in health sector and/or government: 15 Points
Total Evaluation Criteria : 100 Points (70% of scoring)

The Sr. Project Manager will support the digital identity program, including developing project plans, managing relationships, tracking progress, and ensuring documentation and knowledge transfer are completed before contract end.
Additional Terms include a 130 business day term, with on-site work as per the hiring manager's discretion. All materials and documentation produced are Ontario Health property, with full knowledge transfer required two weeks before engagement ends.
