First Nations Community Claims Administrators - Indigenous - Remote - Full Time

The Claims Administrators will work closely with Indigenous communities across Canada, supporting First Nations Child and Family Services and Jordan’s Principle class actions.

1. Provide support to individuals with diplomacy throughout the claim form process.
2. Develop and foster relationships with claimants.
3. Assist claimants in completing claim forms and connecting them with support resources.
4. Help claimants check claim status and navigate the appeals process.
5. Educate individuals on the claims process and settlement benchmarks.
6. Participate in training sessions to ensure effective claims support.
7. Be adaptable and responsive to changing circumstances.

• Minimum of three years relevant experience.
• Social Work Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to establish trust and communicate effectively with individuals dealing with intergenerational trauma.
• Proficiency in technology and online platforms.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across Canada.
• Ability to provide virtual support via phone, internet, or in person.
• Familiarity with Indigenous regional governance structures.
• Understanding of Indigenous culture, history, and trauma impacts.
• Knowledge of colonial policies and their effects on Indigenous communities.
• Fluency in an Indigenous language is an asset.
