The schedule for this positioncan be between2 to 5 days per week– based on your preference, with flexible hours. As acolleague,you will experience a rolewith the following support:

  • Specialty Services : Your work will make a difference to the lives Canadian Veterans*, whose service-related health conditions limits their functioning in civilian life, as well as to employees in organizations focused on workplace health, and insured employees and private payers reaching out on their own for support for their mental health concerns. *Other clients come to us via 3rd party funders such as the WorkSafeBC or various insurance providers.
  • Administrative Support : We have an administrative team to facilitate paperwork, booking, billing, and even online scheduling.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Delivering individual treatment for conditions including anxiety, trauma, depression, somatic complaints, substance misuse, adjustment,and interpersonal issues within the person’s psychosocial context.
  • Consulting with other mental health service team members and clinical interdisciplinary teams.
  • Bringing your unique assessment competencies to a range of applications, from pre-employment suitability assessments for high-risk occupations to diagnostic assessments to guide treatment and psychosocial resource building.
  • Leveraging novel approaches to the delivery of mental health services, including adjunct digital therapeutics.
  • Contributing to in-house training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussions.
  • Contributing to program outcome evaluations at the provincial and national level.

What You Bring to the Team:
Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree or PhD in Psychology.
  • Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (Adult: Clinical, Rehabilitation and/or Neuropsychology).
  • Maintenance of individual professional liability/malpractice insurance is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and multi-disciplinary work environment.
Extra Points in your application:
  • Clinical practice experience.
  • Preference for experience working with an interdisciplinary team with a focus on health and/or rehabilitation.
  • Experience working with a variety of third-party payers considered an asset (e.g.VAC / PCVRS, WCB, Auto Insurers, Disability Insurers).
  • Practical experience and training in the provision of evidence-based treatment (CBT, ACT, DBT, etc.). Application to health and rehabilitation as an asset.
  • Clinical experience in psychological assessment with a focus on treatment recommendations/planning.
